We still call them mammals. The word "mammal" is conceptually no
different from "cat" or "dog," merely more inclusive.

Is the coelacanth a fish? Was it a fish before 1938? If you are
consistent, you answered those two questions "yes" and "no" respectively.
And yet the coelacanth did not change.
