I'm looking for a basic petrology textbook to get a better idea of the
subject (I did take a geology 101 and am going to take hydrology, but
they don't teach petrology here anymore).

I'd prefer something that is an old edition to save money (college
student), but any suggestions are welcome.

So, any recommendations?

For older texts, look for any having Harvey Blatt as one of the
authors.
