Thanks for pointing that out guys - and no thanks to scientists who
coined ambiguous terms.
Anyway, Time = Distance/Velocity, or Time = Distance/c = k x Distance,
where c = constant = speed of light and k = 1/c.
Hence, Time is directly proportional to Distance in this case, so the
meaning of the comment is the same.
A star which was observed to blow up in 1987 actually blew up long
time ago.
