545 articles is enough

Early on, when I asked, I told someone that I started the
cold-blooded dinosaurs thread because it was a great
way to expose assumptions. And, yeah, I didn't single
out anyone or exempt myself when I said that we all worked
off a lot of assumptions.

Well that didn't work. Oh, sure, lots of assumptions were
exposed, but apparently assumptions are a bit like roses
in that nobody ever takes the time to stop & smell them.

My bad.

Anyhow, here's something interesting that nobody will
think about:

No dinosaurs had hair. Yup. A few appear to have had
something that looks like hair, but it's almost always
identified as "proto-feathers."

Pterosaurs are different though. Any of the hair-like things
we see growing out of them are called hair, fur or even
just "hair-like." No feathers. Move it over to a T-Rex and
you've got yourself yet another feathered dinosaur.... but
it's hair (or hair-like) on a pterosaur...
