Yes, because if they turn him down, they know they'll be
unleashing at least a decade of accusations of "shenanigans" and
"pseudoscience", bad dogmatic doggerel, and uninformed discussion of
Haversian canals upon the world.
Not that I'm thinking of anyone specific, mind you.
