Re: Faulty reasoning

The common argumentation techniquest which I think most expose the
evolutionist flaws are:

1. Name-calling.

"moron"

I'd say name-calling is at least as common on the creationist side as
on the evolution side. Furthermore, if you're referring to Dana
Tweedy's habit of calling you moron, I think he's entitled to do that,
based on his long and fruitless attempts at teaching you anything about
science and evolution.

2. Circular reasoning.

"other methods are used...other layers are dated..." but no specifics.

The specifics have been showed down your throat time and time again.

3. Appeals to authority.

It is not a fallacy when the person appealed to is a genuine authority.
Using Einstein's opinions in support of, say, ID is fallacious; using
them in support of general relativity is not.

"scientists believe" And of course we do not have on hand all the
"scientists" who believe, maybe some sign-up *** or poll.

You could try reading the scientific literature on the subject
(preferably not with orange covers). Or just pay some attention to the
popular science magazines; they are a good way for a layperson to stay
current with what's going on in science.

4. Adhominem.

How does this differ from your flaw #1 ?

5. Clever phrases.

"Goddiddit." Meaningless drivel that has little merit.

An admirably succint description of the creationist position.

Science has proven time and time again that intelligence creates complex things.

It has also shown that intelligence creates simple things; in fact,
simplicity is usually taken as a sign of superior design.

Furthermore, science has shown, time and time again, stochastic
processes such as evolution can create both complex and simple things.
