Having sex with someone or something is not the same as interbreeding.
You have a point in that people are not always choosy about sex.
But even if Cro-magnon and neanderthals did have sex (forced or not,
orgies or not), it is not self-evident that they were inter-fertile.

Evidence of successful interbreeding is notably lacking.
If interbreeding had been widespread, then modern Europeans
would derive to a substantial part from neanderthal ancestors.
But no traces of neanderthal mtDNA is found in our cells, and
morphologically, modern Europeans are no closer to neanderthals
than other modern people are, not when morphology is studied in
a careful quantitative manner rather than by impressions at the pool.
