knowing a lot about evolution comes here to learn more; or maybe you're just
missing the brain cells that hold that amorphous thing the rest of us call
'good manners'.



He might have been mistaken for "Al" <aavery6801@xxxxxxxxx>, a recent
arrival on talk.origins, who has already blotted his copybook.

I did make that mistake. However, it sounds to me like this AL might
be trying to challenge rather than innocently question. If he's
really curious you'd think he'd do a few minutes worth of reading on
the topic before jumping in. He was smart enough and interested
enough to find this newsgroup...

1) Checking the original post I don't find that to be strongly supported by the post.
2) Innocent until proven guilty.
3) Think of how it looks to the lurkers.

The question does display a warped understanding of evolution, but there is assorted evidence that that is not uncommon among Americans - whether the ladder fallacy, or a belief that it involves saltation, or other misunderstandings that escape my attention.
