The fundamental concept is that there is no
center of the universe from which everything is measured. Instead, no
matter where you are, no matter how fast or slow you are going (which
can only be measured relative to something else) you will always measure
the same speed of light. There are many consequences of this including
that time passes differently depending on relative speed. It's a complex
subject, so I invite you to read up on it. Start at wikipedia.org and
then read more in books from a library.
But when I was small boy my theacher told me that light is
electromagnetic radiation.
The velocity of the light depends on the constants of the electric
and magnetic fields,
it is the inverse of the meansquare of these constats according to
my theacher.
She said that these constants depend on the medium. So velocity of
the light is not constant but varies in insulatorsubstances ? Have this
any effect in astronomical observation ?
What it means vis a vis life ? Is the velocity of the light
constant ?
My teacher said that be very critical what TV is saying.
Your teacher was very wise. You should argue more with TV. It is
better to argue with media that don't argue back. It gives you
more time to think.
