*demonstrably* so? You can't demonstrate that I am wrong any more than I
can demonstrate that I am right.

converted to ash. Then that's pretty exciting.
in this case.
Speaking of island chains, the Hawaiian chain can be interpreted in terms of
deceleration of the relative motion between a hot spot and the overlying
plate. Are there any that show acceleration?
It's not at all like the idea that the earth *is* flat. The problem is theThe evidence being the demonstration part of it in my vew. I see no problem

with the use of 'is' and 'was' here really. In the case of the world and
seven days the evidence does not support a seven day creation (even if the
day
is a large amount of time, the order is wrong in the bible). So therefore
it's
possible to demonstrate the Earth was not created in 7 days. You're right
that a statement like that should be and can be supported by evidence -
otherwise it's just one person's view against another. At the moment I don't
know what you're debating so can't provide a case at the moment.
The order is wrong in the bible? I don't recall hearing this one.
Small things like there being light then there being the sun, or
plants before sun as well.
By all means go and check.
Ah, yes. This reminds me of my childhood. I remember asking my mom and my
Sabbath School leader about the light on day one. They gave me their best,
if simplistic, answers that I fortunately accepted. Because since that time
I have learned the beauty of God's character of selfless love as illustrated
in the gospel and have experience His love.
The issue of light on the first day is still a curiosity, though. Here are
some thoughts. The sun is not the only source of light that we know. Also
plants don't need the sun, they need light.
Actually, something that is a little more curious is the idea of God
"putting" the sun in the sky since the sun is a million times bigger than
the earth. But I do notice that even the brightest scientist use this
geocentric terminology on a day to day basis. I haven't heard a single one
talking about enjoying the daily eclipse of the sun by the earth. And most
will tell you that the sun is higher in the summer than the winter. Of
course this is true in Australia.
It's true everywhere, being pretty much the definition of summer.
