Here's one for you.
Explain the eta-globin "pseudogene's" persistence *unchanged* for tens
of millions of years in a lineage, given the great cost to the species
for maintaining them unchanged.

First of all there is no great cost to the species for maintaining this
pseudogene.

Yes, there is. Every single cell carries it, from generation to generation.
You need nutrients to get ATP, you know.

And this is supposed to support creationism by claiming that if we
evolved our bodies should operate with 100% efficiency? If we were not
designed we would be have a much better design?

The genome contains thousands of pseudogenes, none with a
cost any higher than any other.

It wasn't a question of relativity of cost from one pseudogene compared
to another.

So you're claiming that the fact that living things work with less than
optimum effieciency supports creation? So you're claiming that your god
is a shoddy designer. I agree.

Your claim of the "great cost" of this pseudogene is bogus. The cost of
this gene is part of the cost of being alive.

The fact that the pseudogene is the same in humans and chimps supports
evolutionary theory.
Why would humans and chimps share a bit of unused
genetic code unless they both inherited it from a common ancestor?

Humans and chimps share many morphological features. Affirming common
ancestry is only one plausible explanation.

That's right God created us to appear as if we had common ancestry.
It's all part of a test. God gave us intelligence so he could punish us
for using it. Right.
