THE TROUBLE WITH RUBBLE

Apparently nobody has told you before, so I'll clear up this silliness
right now.

When convection occurs, stuff comes up here, and goes down there.

If it is contained in a pot, or constrained by gravity, the cooler
fluid really has nowhere to go but down, see? The hotter fluid rises,
driven by whatever source of heat there is (in this particular case,
residual heat and radioactive heat), and the cooler fluid sinks.

What's this? Were you sitting in the corner ..keeping quiet all the
time?

You must have slept thru that fifth grade class, or you would never
have fallen for whatever idiot told you this nonsense. If you're really
interested in geology, you might sign up for a course in your local
junior college.

Why did you trim this just to talk origins, Kermit? You were wanting
to show off, weren't you, .. To your peer chattergroup... I know.
Well I'm cross-posting it back to geology just so they can learn
something about convection..
