It is my observation that most people pay the bills, but do not
contribute to the advancement of civilization. They maintain it, which
is important enough. But without the creators - who are not that many -
we would still be hunting lunch with sharp sticks.
I cannot rule out your idea - but do you have any evidence to support
it?
Which part of the brain is the creative center, and what evidence shows
this?
How do we know it is the newest part? Maybe chimps have it, but they
don't have the math, reasoning, and language skills to make full use of
it.

I would say the frontal lobes of the outer layer of the cerebral cortex
is where the creativity of modern man originates. The transformation
of mankind into the "Homo Imaginative Sapiens" species seems to be more
a software change rather then a hardware change. The "brain" is the
hardware and the "mind" is the software that uses the power of the
large brain to do its thing. The Neandertals and the humanoids (modern
humans before the transformation) both had very large brains but they
lacked the powerful imagination of modern man. When the transformation
occured, the capability of millions of new pathways and connections
became possible within the brain. This new, more powerful "software"
made it possible for modern man to reach its full creative potential.
Modern man became imaginative - the "Mind" of mankind came into being.
Was this new "software" created by a supernatural power or did it
evolve naturally?
