Not, I presume, to the omniscient (or above average scient) god? I
guess some of the popular Christian explanations are a) that he would
like to stop these people, but gosh darn it, it would mess up the free
will thingy and b) Satan.
My advice to God, use some fucking common sense - a little nudge in the
right place, and we get one bad artist, one priest, and one radio
engineer. I think the minimum rule of thumb would be 'everyone who'll
kill more than a million people is definitely exempt from the free will
clause.'
