Re: Intriguing new concept regarding human origins

Some years ago I read a book, "Gaia, a new look at life on Earth", by
Prof. J Lovelock. In it he drew attention to the way life itself
appears to be keeping our planet in a habitable state. It immediately
struck me how the things he was describing would be much easier to
understand if there was some kind of intelligence controlling what was
going on. Rather than dismissing this idea out of hand, I found myself
asking, "Is there any way intelligent life could be present without us
knowing about it". After pondering on this for some time, I thought of
a possible way in which intelligent life could be here, almost
literally right under our noses, without us necessarily being aware of
it. Furthermore, I could see a way in which we, the human race, could
perform a task of great significance to the future of our planet.

Greetings. You have confused effect with cause. Life on Earth appears
to be working hard keeping the environment livable, but surely it is
also obvious that:

1) Many organisms destroy their environments;

2) Other organisms move into those destroyed environments and live
perfectly happy and healthy

3) Organisms that do not adapt to an environment will not be around to
in turn adapt their environment.

There was a time when Earth's environment was much different (reducing
atmosphere, no atmospheric oxygen), and yet trillions of organisms
enjoyed that environment (and shat out oxygen, thus polluting their
environments). Many other trillions of organisms basked (and basks) in
that *** (oxidating atmosphere).

This begs the question: were we deliberately created in order to perform
that specific task? Decide for yourself, visit my website at

The answer is "There is no evidence for that hypothesis, therefore that
hypothesis is rejected."
