The point is we did get in on the side of the Brits. And before that we
provided them with materials of war which compromised our neutral
standing. In 1940 we shipped them the first P-51s. They got the best
fighter in war from us even before out people used it. The name of the
game was Lend-Lease. Americans were not ready to bleed until Pearl Harbor.
