time. there is no adjectival form of 'design' in English.

If the same German word is used twice in the same paragraph to refer to
the same concept it seems entirely arbitrary and misleading to
translate it using two different English words which refer to separate
concepts. 'Design and 'suitable' have very different meanings.
Something that is designed may not be suitable and vice versa.

That's the nature of language. 'Suitable' is shorthand for 'suitable
for the purpose'. Context is very important.

Yes, context is very important and that's exactly why I don't think
that one should translate forms of the same word in two completely
different ways where the context indicates that they are intended to
refer to the same concept. Couldn't you find a word which is acceptable
to you and makes sense but keeps the word form and meaning recognizable
both as a noun and an adjective?
