This article is just unbelievable. There are so many lies and
contradictions, I don't know where to begin.

As close as I can figure, that is what they are counting on. They run
a version of the Gish gallop where they just keep throwing these often
contradictory arguments up against the wall in rapid-fire succession in
hopes that no one will notice that *none* of them are sticking.

As I noted previously with this article, after denying they are making
an argument from ignorance they cite to another article, "Not by
chance: From bacterial propulsion systems to human DNA, evidence of
intelligent design is everywhere," by Stephen C. Meyer, that claims:

1) "Either life arose as the result of purely undirected material
processes or a guiding intelligence played a role."
2) There is an "appearance of design."
3) This appearance is "unexplained by the mechanism-natural
selection-that Darwin specifically proposed to replace the
design hypothesis."

IOW, they demonstrate that ID is not an argument from ignorance by
citing to an article that makes an argument from ignorance.

Do you think these idiots
actually believe this stuff? It seems impossible to me that any
creature capable of developing language skills would also be incapable
of realizing the utter insanity of what they were writing! But the DI
again proves the boundlessness of their stupidity.

I personally think they know exactly what they are doing but I also
subscribe to Occham's Dull(ard) Razor: "It is better not to ascribe to
malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity."

..... ID's backers have sought to avoid the scientific
scrutiny which we have now determined that it cannot
withstand by advocating that the controversy, but not
ID itself, should be taught in science class. This
tactic is at best disingenuous, and at worst a canard.
