1) if evolution were correct, would you want to know it was
correct?

Define evolution.

common genealogical descent of all extant life on earth.

Where did it all descend from?

that is irrelevant.

Then how can evolution be correct?

based on the definition of evolution i gave, it is irrelevant where the
original ancestor(s) came from. the only thing that matters is that
it(they) existed.

Sorry, if you expect me to believe evolution is correct, you will need to
show better evidence of where all the decendants came from. It's OK for you
to believe in evolution, I simply don't have your kind of faith.

Thing is, you have been given one hell of a lot of evidence, more than
enough to convince someone evolution is correct. The fact you still
try to ignore reality shows a mental problem must exist.

2) describe a hypothetical situation that would need to be
present
for
you to accept evolution as correct.

Discovering an intelligent extraterrestrial life form.

i fail to see the logical connection to evolution (as defined above)
in
your response.

If ET showed up here I would accept that evolution occurred because I
believe God specially created this earth and only this earth with
intelligent life. And of course presumably an ET would have evidence
of
other intelligent ET.

why does the ET have to be intelligent?

An intelligent ET would make it far less likely that the seed genetic
material came from the earth itself.

what if the genetic material were not DNA, RNA, or the 20 amino acids
common to earth life?

That would be very interesting.

what if they were, but the genetic code were
different from that of earth life? what if it were multicellular life
that is adapted to its home environment and resembles nothing on earth?

it woudl be cause fro great consideration.

Given that we have been searching the cosmos for quite a while now with no
indication of life elsewhere being even a remote possibility, what would it
take for you to accept a higher intelligence is responsible for life here on
earth?

We have searched a small number of stars, for a very short period of
time, and the search still has a very long way to go.

Throughout the universe we see the building blocks of life - it is
really unrealistic to think Earth is the only abode of life.
