Did the enormously complex and diverse life forms emerge from a
one-celled and simple common ancestor, as Darwin proposed, or rather
from a most complex beginning or universal common ancestor?
See the answer at
http://www.palmspringschronicle.com/articles/viewArticle.asp?articleID=
7489
[quote]If an initial cause could produce anything greater than itself,
the extra part of the effect would be without a cause, but getting any
kind of effect without a cause is contrary to reason -- and, by
extension, to science. After all it has never been demonstrated that we
can get anything from nothing. Only children and gullible people may
have the impression that it is possible to pull pigeons and rabbits from
an empty hat.
Thus the principle of causality tells us that the argument of evolution
from the simplest one-celled organism constitutes causality violation,
just as the origin of the universe and life from an inanimate
singularity?s big bang. These clearly irrational explanations intend to
fool us into believing that the clay managed to give form to the pot,
and in turn the pot gave life and form to the potter, for no reason at
all.
In short, there is hardly anything more evident than the fact that the
paradigm of evolution from a simple beginning to life?s present
complexity is in violation of the principle of causality, of the
cause-and-effect relationship, which constitutes the cornerstone of
science. [end quote]
Jesus, they miss the simplest things.
Life isn't the result of a single 'cause' but from an amalgam of causes,
each building on what preceeds it.
This article is truly an example of 'your brain on creationism'.

Gary Bohn
Science rationally modifies a theory to fit evidence, creationism
emotionally modifies evidence to fit a specific interpretation of the
bible.
---------
Bohn speculates, "Life isn't the result of a single 'cause' but from an
amalgam of causes, each building on what preceeds it."
Before you assume life's origin from nonlife, would you care to
demonstrate
that at one time no life existed? Care to falsify the principle of
biogenesis, in addition to the principle of causality? As soon as you
manage
to falsify these so-far unfalsified principles, I'll be more willing to
take
you seriously.
Before asking someone to falsify the principles of biogenesis and
causality, Kazmer, give them some help. Must they falsify what those
principles really say, or should they be falsifying your mistaken
interpretations of those principles?
You allege "mistaken interpretations" of the principles of causality and
biogenesis. Care to provide evidence that they are mistaken?
But if you can demonstrate it is possible to get an effect without a cause,
or to get life from nonlife, please don't hesitate to let us know, we'd love
to nominate you for the Nobel Prize. On top of that, you can collect the
Origin-of-Life Prize, which is well over one million dollars. Go for it!
