He was aware that darkness laid on the face of the deep, so yes,
according to the bible God sees, for all intent and purposes, in the
dark, ...
Your logic is not valid. The senses of touch (feel) and smell/taste are
more fundamental, and in fact many animals have those more fundamental
senses but lack sight. What evidence do you have that the mythical god
described in the Mosaic scriptures sensed the face of the deep via
sight rather than one of the more primitive senses? Let me ask you: If
you wake up in the middle of the night, and it's too dark to see, how
do you find the light switch? Do you scream for a neighbor to come over
and turn on the light so you can see your way out of bed? If you keep a
flashlight right next to your bed, how do you find it in the dark? If
you have a bed-mate (either a sweetheart/spouse or a pet cat/dog), are
you able to tell whether it's still next to you in the middle of the
night when it's too dark to see it? Finally, in the middle of the
night, are you aware that your bedroom is dark, or do you not even know
your bedoom exists at all without any light to see it? I.e. are you, a
mere human, unable to see in the dark, nevertheless able to be aware of
both your room and the darkness (lack of light) upon it, just as the
mythical god of the Mosaic scriptures was aware that darkness laid on
the face of the deep?
Hmm, I just had a pornographic thought. What if the "deep" was really a
deep vagina of a female god that accompanied the male god described in
the Mosaic scriptures? What if the male god had never seen his mate's
vagina visually, although he had groped her many times in the dark, and
his curiosity what it might look like increased to the point where he
couldn't wait any longer, so he created light so he could finally see
her? (And she was so disgustingly ugly that he immediately destroyed
her, never spoke of her again, and created Adam and Eve as replacements
for companionship, and then he was sorely pissed when they covered
themselves up so he could no longer see their pretty genitals and Eve's
pretty breasts?)
although in narrow terms of human eyesight the concept "sees" may
be far too limited and therefore broadly inaccurate.
You mean like a blind person gropes a person's face to "see" its shape?
Will you admit that kind of re-definition of terms pretty much begs the
question how or whether the Mosaic god could see in the dark?
Like suppose you went to a side-show and paid a dollar to witness a
person who could "see in the dark", and so you went into a totally dark
room and you felt somebody's hands reach out and grope you? Would you
maybe ask for your money back?
