The reference was from Wikipedia's entry for Kiwi: "While birds

know why they should make that distinctiion (other than the fact that

I'd be surprised if "in the style of mammals" is accurate. `Course,
I'm a nuke, not a bio, so do please whack me down if I'm wrong.
