There are elements of ID that will be absorbed into Evolutionary Theory

Data has been absorbed into evolutionary theory since Darwin wrote
"Origin of Species".

That's correct. We've studied molecular biology including genetics, and
discovered an amazing process that Darwin wasn't aware of: DNA storage
of base sequences, DNA replication by three different mechanisms
(prokaryotic fission, mitosis, meiosis), DNA repair, expression to RNA,
3-1 mapping to amino acids, protein folding, metal ion wrapping,
proteins joining to form mechanical structures, proteins as well as RNA
hairpin structures acting as enzymes in biochemical pathways,
regulation of expression, etc. In all of that, there has been not the
slighest hint of any intelligent design, except within the past ten
years when humans have begun to design artificial lifeforms (but
haven't yet succeeded), or even intelligent tinkering, except during
the past 50 years with knockout variations of mice and bacteria etc.
There is no hint whatsoever that anything other than modern humans has
ever done any genetic design or tinkering. Accordingly there has been
no reason to incorporate ID into evolutionary theory so-far.

why does it upset you that a valid fact or two from ID will be
absorbed?

Your question is nonsense, because it's based on a false premise.
In fact, ID will not be absorbed, so there's nothing to be upset about.
