They can just put cotton plugs in their ears to sop up the mess.
Words have value in expressing ideas. Modern society (i.e. kiddies
brought up on TV and video games) devalues close reasoned analysis
expressed purely in text. It needs flashy graphics and motion. Sex
and violence help, too.
I am confident that you know this, resist strenuously, and try to
teach your students to do likewise. Never weaken!
