When you say "round", do you mean flat circular disk, or spherical ball?
Did the Hebrews know and believe the "round" Earth, or not?
Why do the Mosaic scriptures talk as if the Earth was not a sphere with
its own gravity, but instead something flat?

So you're agreeing with me, that the Mosaic scriptures were written by
ordinary people, some of whom knew a little about nature, although all
were very primitive by today's standards (no giant shoulders to stand
on), doing about the best they could with the very limited knowledge
they had at the time, with no supernatural hwlp whatsoever?

Yes. But despite my much greater knowledge of nature (compared to the
ancients, even compared to Newton who was before Dalton or Hubble or
Einstein), I never claim that my words are the infallible words of the
Creator, as the Hebrew/Babylonian liars did.

I have respect for them. But I have no respect for modern people, who
have all the same advantages that I have, yet persist in rejecting most
of what has been learned in the past thousand years, who persist in
spending a large fraction of their time and energy and money to support
fraudulent religious institutions.

Yet our present understanding of nature is at least a million times
more complete than it was 2000 years ago. Consider your own home as an
example. Would you rather be blind, unable to see past your own
fingers, unable to see anything whatsoever anywhere in your home, and
also paralyzed, unable to move around to touch-feel anything, and deaf,
unable to hear when somebody is in your home, unable to hear when
somebody is describing things in your home, able to feel *only* the bed
under you and the covers over you and anything that is handed to you,
but nobody ever bothers to hand you anything except your food? Or would
you rather be sighted, able to see virtually every part of your home,
even if there are some small crevices here and there which you haven't
yet looked into so you don't yet know what's in those tiny crevices?
Would it be reasonble to conclude that since you don't know *every*
tiny crevice in your home, that all your senses are worthless, and
you'd be just as well off blind and paralyzed and deaf, and the factor
of a million is worth nothing?
> Contempt for previous generations is not called for.
I agree. My contempt is for modern people who choose to live in
3000-year-old ignorance, and who harass me trying to coerce me to join
them in such ignorance, and who take public money to teach such
ignorance, and who vote for public officials who wish to use their
power of office to perpetuate such ignorance.
