It occurred to me recently that the sky is blue for the same reason
clothes get dull. Clothes get dull not because they are dirty, modern
detergents deal with that, but because the fibers start to wear.
Instead of a nice smooth thread there are all these tiny bit sticking
out, scattering the light. At least I think that is what is going on.

They seem to object to the notion of students reading and thinking. It
is the last part that causes particular problems.
