The universe looks designed to me

Hi,

I used to frequent this newsgroup a few years back but got frustrated
and left - as I'm sure happens to most creationists who come here. I'm
not a scientist, I'm an industrial electrician. I work on complex
machinery all day.

I see many parallels between the design of these machines and the
universe. To me, the universe has the appearence of design, and I feel
that explanation is more likely than the naturalistic explanation.

The concept of life from nothing, and then evolution from a single
living cell to every plant and animal we see is just so improbable it
borders on the impossible. I mean, how many species are there? and for
every species that exists, there are 1000 that are extinct? And all
these evolved through the unlikely process of a mutation that was passed
on, and then passed on again until it began to dominate an existing species?

I'm sure many of you will proceed to tell me that it is not impossible,
that there is a scientific explanation for how this could have occurred
naturally. Yes, and technically you will be correct, but it is far less
likely than the design explanation. The design explanation fits the
world better IMO.

OK, tear me a new one!
