Just a small nit-pick on an otherwise fine post:

Doppler shifts are caused by relative motion within space
(e.g. Andromeda and Milky Way are moving relative to each
other and produce a Doppler blue shift)

Hubble red shifts are a consequence of the size of space
increasing between the time of the light's emission and its
detection.

Two different causes...same phenomenon.
