DENVER ? Colorado has appealed a federal court ruling that limited the state?s ability to regulate the destruction of obsolete chemical weapons stored outside Pueblo.

The state filed suit in 2008 hoping to require that the Army meet a congressional deadline to destroy about 2,600 tons of mustard agent stored at the Pueblo Chemical Depot by 2017.
