There's a news article in the Christian Science Monitor,
see: http://www.csmonitor.com/2007/0222/p04s01-ussc.html
which is about a controversy over religious displays in the New York
City School system. The author says, at the end of the article,
something to the effect that not all christians identify Christ with God.
I'm no expert, but I was under the impression that pretty much any
version of Christianity says Jesus and God are the same, or at least
that that those two, along with the holy spirit, make up the trinity,
or at the very least that christ is "devine" whatever that really means.
Are there non trinitarian christians? Were there?
There certainly were in the early centuries. I wouldn't be surprised
if there still are some such sects, though by and large they're probably
_defined_ as non-Christian by the mainstream, or dismissed as heretical
aberrations.
Some of the biggest net. loonies, like Steve (false trinitarian scum)
Winter.
The Wikipedia article on Jesus should give some links to other articles.
that will give you an overview of the history of Christology.
