It's not the same as a paint color, dummy. It's not letting arrogancy of science
decide what to teach children. At least both sides should be taught if it were to be fair.
They learn about christ in school, so what do you think the children thinks when they
say the opposite in next class?
We don't teach religion in schools. See, there are these places
called "churches." You can learn all about religion there. Schools are
for teaching facts. Reading, Math, History, and yes, Science.

Not really. Some Biblical stories were reviewed English classes when I
was in high school, but it was strictly from a literary point of view;
no theology was thrown in along with the lit crit.
I don't recall *any* teaching "about Jesus" in the public schools when
I attended during the 1950s and 1960s. The only remarks about religion
were made in the context of history class (e.g., the Crusades) and
geography class (e.g., "Italy is a Catholic country and one of it's
main exports is olive oil.").

In my East Texas Bible Belt school My 4th grade teacher was also my
Sunday School teacher. This was in 1948 and we got a big daily dose of
Bible as well as prayer every day. In 1957 when I graduated High
School we had prayer every morning. In English lit. We had to memorize
some poetry, most of us chose Bible verses that we also had to
memorize for church.
So where were you educated?
In Norway we have christendom as a separate subject written in our laws
that it must be taught. Although of course those who refuse (such as JW's) get
alternative teachings.
