Atheism is no more a religion than bald is a hair color. Of
course, if you actually understood that, you probably wouldn't be
a theist....

When atheists insist that they are right and everyone else is wrong
(without actually KNOWING otherwise) and that people must be pushed
into
toeing the atheist line, then they are fundy religionists just as bad
as
any JW bookseller at your front door on Sunday AM.

Another lie, atheist don't insist that you are any one else accept
their disbelief, we only resist the attempts at people like you that
try to force people to live according to your hateful beliefs.

Actually, some do....at least they spend so much effort dissing my
beliefs that I cannot help but think they want theirs to be mandatory.

It's the theist that work to make their beliefs mandatory. The atheist
is only defending their freedom from the rules of religion.

And, for the record, I don't care what people believe, as long as they
don't try to force their fantasies on me. So if you think anyone "like
me" has tried to force you to live according to some "hateful belief"
then you're badly mistaken.

I do not come into these echoes to proselytize so much as to attack the
heresy of creationism. I can understand why you object to creationism.
It's crap pseudoscience that people are trying to impose politically in
the name of God. But you should understand that it isn't only you
atheists who detest it. It's also crap theology being imposed
politically in the name of God, and I, for one, do not want it in or
around my church. And if it's allowed in the schools as science lessons,
it will end up in my church and will have to be corrected in catechesis.
It's my right to NOT have the state impose itself on me like that,
wouldn't you agree?

100%
Do you agree that many "mostly fundies", try to impose their
religious belief on others. Including the religious that reject their
nonsense.

I prefer to keep MY religion OUT of the public schools. That I mention
it in passing and that those mentions appear in your precious atheist
echoes is an artifact of the fact that fundy creationists cannot resist
the bait and almost ALWAYS post to your group. But some of you are just
as bad, posting to alt.talk.creationism or talk.origins and then
crossposting to alt.atheism.

Start checking the groups posted too, the cross posting to atheist
sites, usually come from the Christian groups. Look at the first post
of a thread this will tell you who the cross poster really is.

And, by attacking ME, you guys are just giving support to one of the
fundy lies about evolution, which is that evolution is merely atheist
doctrine wrapped up as science. Of course you and I both know that is a
lie, but the fundies keep spreading it around among their target
audience.

You come across like the fundies. Fortunately they are a minority
of Christian. If the majority of Christians would speak out against
them. It might slow them down.
