Yes, he's been getting more and more desperate with the insults, bad
language (although I'll admit I've been at those points myself at times),
the snipping of citations that show him wrong, snipping down to one line of
a post and taking it out of context, changing the subject or even just
completely ignoring what's being said (the latter things I do try to avoid
and don't conciously do although I won't say I've never done them.)

Yes, but here the sort of "cannot" is physical/nomic impossibility and
not logical impossibility, since there's nothing illogical in stating
that c could have had a value different from the one it actually has.

I've asked him repeatedly if he even understands the difference between
necessary and contengent impossibility in reference to modal logic (or if he
even knew what modal logic was) and he's never even responded to that point.
