People are atheists because there is a problem with theism, not because
there is a problem with gods.

Check on Humanist Manifesto III to see the change in humanist thought
on god belief.

P.S.:
There is a book by Antony Flew titled "Atheistic Humanism" (Prometheus).

The book was written in 1993 and some review in Amazon.com indicate
that he no longer holds some of those views.
