No, you are right about that. Ditto energy-saving clothes washing
machines.
PRotFU and I got a little rolly apartment-model dishwasher when we
moved into our 1925 bungalow last May. It is smaller by half than our
dishwasher in the old house, and gets the dishes MUCH cleaner. For 2
people, we don't need a huge dishwasher.
I find you save even more energy by not washing them at all.
