I'm too old to care!
Still - must be good to remember the guy you were and the way
you felt back then.
What DO older guys want ?
I can't speak for Ken, obviously, but I wonder if what both old
guys and women would like is to be young again ....but only if
we knew what we know now.
Hi Rita,
Well said!
Speaking purely for myself, I recall the joys and the angst and challenges of my youth, and I am glad to have left all that behind. I may have been young, slim and beautiful then, but there was so much I didn't know, and so many misconceptions I labored under. It took me a lifetime to sort it all out, and now that I have done so, I would be loath to lose that.
Now I have different challenges and aspirations. Health issues arise as one ages, and of course the rules of the game have changed, and I surely don't look the same on the outside anymore either. Love is different, my viewpoint and priorities are different, but there is far greater inner peace. Most of all I am glad to be out of the proverbial "rat race" now, though I admit I previously enjoyed that sometimes too.
I have had to learn to be content to share my wisdom with the young ones in the spirit of help, but must also be content not to experience the same things in life that they do anymore. The pains of relationships, their ups and downs, the struggle to find oneself, the challenges of career building. The thrills of youthful sex and riding motorcycles and engaging in physical sports and such are gone, but there is a greater sense of balance and wisdom within.
I take more time to smell the flowers now...... and the joys of maturity have their own sort of wonder about them.

Best Regards,
Evelyn
