Can YOU imagine getting any level of charge out of newsgroup
flirting ?
All I get is an urge to boak.
Now fair suck of the sav.....you were the one who made me vomit!

I find the concept of cyber anger interesting. Most of us do it, get
mad at people we've never met and never will. It sure doesn't happen
in real life like this.

The anonymity allows people to speak and behave in a manner that they
wouldn't do in a face to face situation.
In real life they could at best be sued or at worst get a smack in the
mouth.
How comforting that is to many people who claim to speak their minds
( but only on the Internet <grin>)

You can't know that.
Many of us are just the same in person as we are right here.
If I smell *** .................I call it out.
So do a couple of others.

The aim and content of both groups is so different as to be
incompatible. For many of us in SSI our favorite subject is whatever
is the current news.

But which current news....American Politics? if you are not an
American and you criticise then you can be told that 'what right have
you to be a critic' or 'go criticise your own Government'- then of
course the most common accusation 'all you ever do is Bush Bash'. Not
much of an encouragement is there?
Of course, we minority group of Australian posters may suggest
Australian Politics.....but does anybody know anything about that....?

No - why should we give a rats ass about Aussie politics ?
At least you won't get an argument about them here.

I rest my care!
It is ain't American then it ain't worth discussing......
And as I have pointed out before, there are sufficient descriptive
words in the English language (and I imagine the American version of
it) to deny the use of the more vulgar ones.....
(Now who was it said that the Newsgroups and the Internet were a
worldwide convenience)

I noticed the 60+ people rarely talk about news.
Peace, at any cost, seems to be the aim. No news, no controversial
topics. Nothin' wrong with liking peace. We like peace too, but we
especially like it with more spice, and there's nothing wrong with
being interested in current news. Different strokes.
Nantz.

I would like to repeat what I have said before.....the only thing that
is requested on sixtyplus is courtesy and respect for the other
person's views. No subject is taboo - but it is a sad fact of
Internet usage that if there isn't argument then there is no
interest....Various people have admitted that without the stimulation
of argument (and I use the word in its true sense) civilised debate is
boring.
jingles

Courtesy and respect are the most boring elements of all...................
after the lord and lady *** of course.

Your vulgarity is constantly finding outlets....

We're nice on mild subjects and approaching violent on subjects that
trigger strong emotions.

Are violent reactions something to be proud of then?

Constant chit chat about what one had for tea is boring.
Whining about anything is unforgivable and will be pounced upon by
many.
As we age, physical problems are a given. Bitching about them and
the medical profession as a whole can get old pretty quickly.

We don't talk a lot of sports here, but I wouldn't mind if we did.

Aren't you a bit long in the tooth to be involved?

Civilized debate is chit chat. Debate requires strong feelings and
often strong language when disagreements arise.

Sorry! I don't agree.....

Except for the racist pig nixon, posters are forgiven for outbursts
on subjects near and dear to there hearts.
That is as it should be.

But that is only your opinion - don't you support the right to free
choices?

Magnificient ass kicking. Thanks to Jingles and Anne Jackson. Also
learned a new word to add to my American English: Boak. Easy to see
the origin as simply the sound of the act. Which, by the way, may
describe many usenet threads and not to mention Brit food.

Someone pointed out that a vacancy will exist in the White House soon.
That is not accurate since a vacancy has existed for 7 years between
the ears of our let's pretend leader.

I notice that men have kinda backed out of these discussions problably
for fear of being chewed up in the midst of Ladies in disagreement.
How sweet is anonymity.

Keep up the good work...I love it.
