I AM a good guy !
All preparations have been made, and are kept updated on a
more or less monthly basis....
Every bank account, website, password, and an EXCEL file showing
everything I own, where it is, who to contact, and a re-calculation
each
time it is loaded showing the present value of every possession to my
best ability to within a fraction of a percent........I've been
optimizing
the program for about 30 years, and account for depreciation,
appreciation, compounding of interest, and appraised values......
All the kids have to do is find the file, which is stored in
multiple places
on FLASH drives, and load it up......
Also, there are NO bills, statements, or correspondence of any kind
which is purely electronic. Everything will have a paper copy coming
thru the postal service, just in case they fail to account for some
obscure water bill, or bank statement, or 1099...
On the other hand, I will probly live another 15 years or so,
statistically.
I just like to keep accurate records, and keep the up to date -----
from
my engineering background.....
I also have a big set of files, with large manila envelopes, which
keep
every record, tax appraisal, income tax form, vehicle title, etc, in
separate
envelopes, which have a master index telling which envelope the
documents
are in..... I update that each time I make a change. There are
presently
about 70 separate categories....
Somebody is going to work their ass off getting everything
straight, but
it is all there, catalogued, sorted, and recorded......
When my father in law died, his estate was an absolute mess. That
is
not an unusual thing.......
and,,,, hell, what else do I have to do other than keep things
organized
and come to this newsgroup and bitch about immigration... ??????
Andy in Eureka, Texas
I bitch about it too, Andy. It is unfortunate, but for too long our leaders have looked the other way and now it is a monstrous problem that will take a great deal of effort to change.
