= = I have to admit that I am totally biased when it comes to "natural"
treatments - - for anything.
= = When diagnosed with diabetes,I got all kinds of advice from
well-meaning friends, who recommended cinnamon - daily - and other
natural compounds. I presented my doctor with that recommendation,and
he only smiled!! Perhaps your response might be that all doctors - or
most - are opposed to 'natural' products for treating disease - and most
of them are, and I totally agree with them.
None of the "natural" products are tested and/or supervised by any
federal and/or reliable agency. You might now respond by saying that I
should remember how many tested products have been recalled, and found
to have been detrimental,etc.etc. True - - but I certainly much rather
go along with occasional slips of our fedetal agencies which supervise
medications, and release them only after research was conducted, than I
would be trusting business outfits, which have absolutely no supervision
- federally - or otherwise, and will sell you tree roots to heal
pimples!!!! They even got into the mental health field, to heal
depression,etc.etc. - - all unproven, unsupervised - and ridiculous!!
= = If what had been recommended to you at the time,worked well for you
- then it was simply a case of your being very lucky, in that that
particular item worked - at least it did for you - but I would urge the
greatest of caution to anyone, fiddling with "natural" healing -
nothing, in that field, is supervised.
