Best Regards,

Harris's problem is that he is narrowminded. Has no concept of
myth
and mysticism. He fully believes that he knows all that is to be
known.
I think there is a good possibility that he is a certified sociopath.
McD.DaddyTh'Dave

I doubt you read the article at all. He is extremely open minded.
The
problem (where guys like you are concerned) is that he refuses to play
along with your collective religious fantasy, and remains open to
infinite
possibilities. Whereas your cosmology is confined within a narrow
path
of certain definitions. It is you who is limited by your own
prejudices
and constraints, not he. -- Best Regards, Evelyn
No, no. He, like you, refuses to believe that people can comfortably,
and
with great mutual satisfaction, support beliefs and myths that serve
the
general good and tend to hold society together and give glimmers of hope
that there is more to life than just "three score & ten".
McDave
============================================================
Religion is not doing much of a job in holding society together these
days. There seems to be nothing but controversy afoot.
And the past history of religious wars and such shows it has always
been divisive rather than the opposite.
In general I have to agree with your comments. But, religion has not
ALWAYS been divisive. It has held some groups together against their
enemies.
Yes, this highly praised "diversification", "tolerance", "globalism", "one
world", crapola will make things MUCH worse. You mention
"controversy"...... I think it's going to be much worse than your
description would imply; I think it will be sectarian violence, blood in
the
streets, a general breakdown of society; much like we see in many parts of
the world today and in particular Iraq.
The world is indeed "Smaller". In addition, the global population
explosion will cause the "quality" of life to deterioriate and the "value"
of life to reach historical lows.
Not a pretty picture is it?
McDave
===================================================
I am an optimist. Whatever is causing turmoil in the world today
will pass. Oh yes, something else will come along to take its
place, but the kind of prediction you make here has been made about
many eras in the paste. Doomsday scripts are nothing new.
Heh, heh.... Yes. I, too, am an optimist. This attitude is fully
warranted by my religious beliefs as a Scientific Mystic. You know
that....
However, there is no doubt that overcrowding does, and will, cause the
quality and value of human life to deteriorate. If you don't believe it,
spend some length of time in Tokyo, Singapore, New Delhi. Or for that
matter, New York, or London, or L.A.....
McDave
===========================================
I lived in New York City for 25 years. And have visited London
several times. Both are great cities
NYC's crime rate is one of the lowest of large cities. Living in New
York City is not for sissies, though, or for people who are frightened
of diversity. I can see why you are much happier living in a smaller
and less challenging environment.
Heh, heh, heh. . . . KneeJerk response as we all expected!
25 crystalized years. Yes.... It shows in your writing. Your twisted and venomous slur is one clear indication. Your hiding behind an alias (which, BTW, is useless) is another. Do you reside at the very core of the RottenApple or do you just crawl about its skin? <a little joke there for you>
McDave

Aiming for the jugular this morning Dave?
Tsk Tsk. so nasty today.
