medicaid repayment question

Hello:

I'm lost and don't know where to turn. My mother, two years ago at age
73, was hospitalized in Arizona. She had no funds and we believe
medicaid paid for an expensive 3 day emergency hospital visit. They
said it was all taken care of. A relative died recently and left her
some real estate and a trailer which she would like to sell. If she
sells the real estate, must she pay back medicaid? Or does the
repayment requirement apply only to when and if she goes into a
nursing home and eventyally passes on? Any web sites that might have
this answer? Very much appreciate any answers to this perplexing
question.
