Seems like a lot of us. I was diagnosed 35 years ago after they finished
testing me for Lupus, MS, and I can't even remember what else. I know I
spent about 3 full days in different doctor's offices being tested.
After
they ruled everything else out the only thing left was Fibromyalgia. I
was
lucky I went to a doctor who believed it is a real condition and not just
in
my head.

Yup, try getting disability for fibro. At least I finally. after
having this since puberty,had a family practitioner who diagnosed me
with fibro in '96. He was really up on everything current.
I have all the tender spots and more. Sometimes can't stand to have
anything touch my skin (thank god, for our little pool). Fatigue and
a dog that gets us up about twice a night to go out or wants
company(go to bed, Sheba!), the list goes on and on.....sigh.

Has anyone tried Lyrica? I did and found tremendous relief with it.
I had energy, markedly decreased pain. Then I started to notice
little things, like my lips feeling numb - I was starting to have an
allergic reaction which progressed. Oh well, another medication down
the drain.

I asked my doctor about Lyrica. All she said was no-way. Too many bad side
effects.
