How many here would be willing to put their childhood story out
into cyber world ?
Bet we have some doozies right here in this little group.

Absolutely. For many it is too painful to recount. I feel I have confronted many of my own demons but I dislike dredging up those years, for fear of indulging whiny attitudes or self pity. I live in the present, and not in the past, and even though those years influenced the person I am, they did not last all that long, and I was on my own for a lot longer than that.

That which happened to us when we were not in control of our own lives may be interesting, but what I find even more so is what we made of our lives when we WERE in control of our lives.

For instance when Olly got her nerve up to finish school, to buck tradition and her husband's disapproval, but she did it. And when No name had an entire new and quite adventurous life after raising her rather large brood. Many would have been content to sit back and simply enjoy the kids and grandkids, yet both these women had great courage to achieve real credentials and develop their own careers. They are both really amazing women. You too, D. We have a good bunch around here, which is why I enjoy reading and posting on this group.
