Reminds me of a friend who has had a computer for several years but
used ONLY for email. Recently he asked me go with him shopping for a
new computer. He stated that a pet peeve for him was all the wires
and cords and that came out of the back. I suggested that he buy a
laptop computer and a ALL-In-One printer to just about eliminate the
cords and wires irritant.

When he bought the new computer I suggested to him that he also buy a
guide book for Vista.
He bought a very nice laptop and has just now considered doing
something other than email. He told me he was marveled at what the
laptop was capable of doing. I told him that his old clunker could
have done most of the same thing although at a slower pace.
Apparently he learned of some of the capabilites from reading the
Vista manual.

There is a lot to be said for reading manuals. I always tell my husband RTFM! (read the f-ing manual). He is one who likes to fumble his way through without reading anything remotely resembling instructions. You can imagine we have ahem... discussed this many times. He also would sooner die than ask directions.
