Well, we are right now pouring tons, repeat TONS, of money into the Mid
East
and it is not working.
To make the matter worse, this time the TONS of money is borrowed funds!!
Maybe it is time to try something a little different; an old, but proven,
method.

And that would be?

Defeat the Muslims.... ? I have no crystal ball, dear. But, it may come
down to defeating them or being defeated BY them. If you prefer the
later
then please do not reply to this post or any of my posts ever, ever, ever,
again !!

I'm well aware that it will come down to defeating or being defeated
by them. Of course I prefer we win, I just don't find much to be
encouraged about in the present struggle. Our previous military
successes have been against armies of countries, armies that dressed
in uniforms and were easy to identify. We had a draft in those days
resulting in more cannon fodder. We apparently spent our money on
effective weapons and had some level of competent leadership, both
civilian and military. We vilified the enemy; they were Japs and
Krauts. Shrub still talks about Islam being a religion of peace. In
WWII, we interned the Japanese and didn't let any more into the
country. I'm not saying that was such a great idea, merely
contrasting it with the way we let in Muslims and make no effort to
keep up with where they go and what they do. We had allies in those
days. Now we can only hoodwink the British into participating in our
ill-advised Iraqi adventure.

Do you think we will seriously get down to securing our U.S. borders now
that the President and the Congress has heard the voice of the Legal
Americans in this regard ????? I was, frankly, amazed ! The E-mail, the
phone calls, the letters, to opinion polls DID WORK this past week. I
did
my small part but with little hope that the efforts of we legal citizens
could overcome the powerful corporate interests that own our Federal
Government. We do win a few after all.

I think that was one small step. I will not be optimistic until I see
a whole lot more done to deal with the problem of illegal aliens. I
don't see it as more than a token victory in any regard, particularly
in wresting our government from the hands of the corporate interests
that I agree now own our government.
