Global Peace Index
A new web site launched just today is called Visions of Humanity. It
lists countries from the most peaceful to the least. Norway is
1st,U.S. is 96th, Iraq is 121st. Only 121 countries are included
because the other countries do not have very reliable data to back up
any figures. On this site you can click on the different countries to
see how they ranked in the 24 catagories. ie, how many in prison, how
many have decent jobs, how many have health care, etc.
One of the reasons the U.S. scores very low is because they do so much
policing of the world. You can see for yourself what the other reasons
are. I think it's an interesting site.
