I saw something on the discovery times channel about something that possibly could solve earth's need for energy for a long long time yet to come. Mining the moon to get Helium 3. Don't ask, I only caught a couple of minutes, then I fell asleep. I did manage to hear that the Sun pours off tons of this Helium 3 but our earth's atmosphere doesn't allow it to land here. The moon, however is loaded with the stuff. They are already thinking of ways to get it. Imagine that? Strip mining on the moon?

It's the American way Ev.
If any place has ANYTHING corporate American can profit from........
we're gonna get, no matter who has to die or be displaced.

It's the way of all human nature, unfortunately. There is very little genuine altruism to be had on this planet. Everything is always hinging on some profit motive, some ego driven agenda for someone. One reason why I like the Rotary club (been a member for many years) is that we do tons of good in the world for the little people. Bringing things like clean water to them so their kids don't die of horrible water borne illnesses. It may be just a drop in the bucket (pardon the pun) but it is something done from true altruism. None of that bible in one hand with a handout in the other, kind of stuff. It is good for the sake of doing good and nothing else.

I've never known a Rotarian. So this is a first.
Don't know anything about the outfit either. Guess it's time I looked it up.
