I vote for Santa. At least he has some proof, where anyone with a red
suit can deliver gifts. Jesus on the other hand is a fraud and no
one can get crucified and supposedly rise from the dead. Jesus never
existed and never will. Santa lives on and every Christmas someone
plays the part.
In the category of fairy tails, you should add in the great pumpkin,
the easter bunny, the tooth fairy, Zeus, Thor, Apollo, fairy
godparents, Pan, and any afterlife
You do not understand the requirement for "myths" that is a part of the
human psyche in order to provide a placid and peaceful and enjoyable
existence. Those that cannot understand are, sometimes, described as
"inhuman"; even asocial. It is probably the fault of something you were
exposed to in early childhood.

catechism classes every Saturday for three hours for three
years and I believed everything that was taught. A couple of
years later, I believed none of it. Except some of the ethical
concepts in the New Testament that advised loving one's neighbor.
That still made good sense to me. I found the concept of sinners
burning in hell forever did not provide me with a placid and
peaceful and enjoyable existence. Especially when the sinners
were identified as religous sects other than the one I was
raised in. That took in a lot of my loved friends and even
close relatives.
Amazingly similar to my own experience!
It's a remarkably large club.
