I've been retired almost 10 years and didn't have any trouble getting used
to not having to set an alarm. I usually go to bed and get up early. I
have a leisurely breakfast while reading the paper. I work 2 crosswords and
a cryptoquote. I try to get to the gym 3 or 4 times a week because I have
more energy the rest of the day when I get about 20 minutes of aerobic
exercise and about 40 minutes of using various weight machines. I'll be 70
soon and my health is not great but I do want to keep active as long as
possible. The rest of the day is spent reading, playing with the computer,
painting and talking with my 91 year old mother who lives with me. So far I
get through the day without needing a nap but that may change as get older.
