Rita - I agree that our backing of Israel, and our hope to spread
democracy in the Middle East is certainly a large part of their hatred,
but I believe, the other poster's suggestion is also relevant, in that
they cannot tolerate our culture, our way of life, our wealth, our
religions, our freedoms.
One might almost say:"it is a war of the worlds."
